Bee Line Cushion Cover

A popular characteristic of Bauhaus design is abstract shapes, inspired by the Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky, who was particularly interested in the connection between shapes and colors. These designers embraced this idea, often creating bold, simple forms that emphasised this connection. In this modern cushion cover design, the use of faux leather and a laser-cut technique creates a rope-like pattern that adds texture and visual drama while still maintaining the clean lines and minimal embellishments that are hallmarks of this movement. Through the holes, you can see the contrasting light blue poplin used as the lining. The blue also lends itself as an edging treatment to this leather cushion cover. By incorporating elements of Bauhaus design into the cushion cover, we have tried to create a contemporary and stylish piece.
